Our Mission
To lift families from a state of instability and homelessness to independence and self-sufficiency through our Transitional Housing Program, Affordable Housing Program and our Fifer Family Learning Center.
Our Transitional Housing Program, has served over 100 homeless families, providing rent subsidies, counseling, group therapy, skills training and job readiness.
The Fifer Family Learning Center, our neighborhood computer center, provides a variety or programs, classes and services to help Alexandria residents of all ages toward a beter future. Neigborhood teenagers and adults visit regularly to use computers and obtain help with jobs and other needs. The center is also home to our
After School Program, prividng academic help, enrichment and summer learning and recreation to 2nd-5th, 6th-8th grade children referred by their school.
The needs of the homeless and disadvantaged continue to grow. Resources to respond to these needs are shrinking. We aim to provide high-quaility services and increase the number we serve.
